Annual grant distribution report of The Canadian Polish
Millennium Fund for 2011
TORONTO –
December 2011
During 2011 the Millennium
Fund distributed $91,056.00 in various categories. Scholarships for students
from various Canadian universities totaled $35,550.00. Organizations
received $32,000.00; libraries and publishing enterprises received
$3,500.00; schools received $6,600.00. In addition, $8,894.00 from the
Orlinski Fund was divided among four recipients: the Polish Scouting
Association in Canada (ZHP pgK), Wawel Villa – Archive Museum dedicated to
Polish soldiers, the Institute for Blind Children in Laski, Poland, and
scholarships awarded to 5 students of Polish descent enrolled in a
professional pilot training program.
The board approved scholarships for 5 applicants (descendants of
Home Army veterans) totaling $4,512.00 from the Zbigniew Czaplinski P.Eng.
fund at the Strategic Charitable Giving Foundation.

Fund distributed $95,097.65 in various categories. Scholarships for students
from various Canadian universities totaled $43,200.00. Organizations
received $29,000.00; libraries and publishing enterprises received
$3,250.00; schools received $6,450.00. In addition, $8,766.95 from the
Orlinski Fund was divided among four recipients: the Polish Scouting
Association in Canada (ZHP pgK), Wawel Villa – Archive Museum dedicated to
Polish soldiers, the Institute for Blind Children in Laski, Poland, and a
scholarship awarded to a student of Polish descent enrolled in a
professional pilot training program.
